In part 1 I ended that article mentioning the receptionist. I am beyond shocked when a business owner doesn’t keep the first person who deals with a prospect or a customer of what’s going on.
The individuals who manage your reception and handle phone calls essentially serve as the vocal representation of your enterprise for your patrons.
If you are a larger business those in charge of your financial records are far more than just number crunchers; they should play a key role in optimizing your promotional strategies. All employees within all organizations need to realize that their income is derived solely from one source, the customer. Without customers, and by extension, without sales, there are no wages.
It is crucial for everyone in an organization to constantly consider ways to enhance customer experiences. Every employee should prioritize marketing above everything else. The company’s chairman should primarily focus on marketing. Those involved in product development should also prioritize marketing when creating their products. After all, what is the point of creating an outstanding product or offering an excellent service if there is no demand for it?
Every product should be created with the potential market in mind. The question always in the minds of the product development team should be, “Is this product something our potential customers and existing clients would want?”
Simultaneously, those in finance, accounting, and legal departments should not be seeking ways to simplify their own tasks. Rather, they should be questioning, “How can we streamline the process for our clients to conduct business with us? Is it necessary for our customers to complete extensive forms for their purchases? Do we need to make them sign lengthy, unread contracts? Are these disclaimers really necessary in our order forms?”
The custodian’s role goes beyond just cleaning. A custodian is a key player in marketing, ensuring the business premises are tidy and inviting, reflecting a company that customers would want to engage with.
Regardless of the industry you’re operating in, your enterprise should primarily be a marketing company. By its very definition, marketing involves “creating satisfied customers and clients.”
The primary objective of your business isn’t to manufacture cars, windows, or any other product or service. The real aim of any business should be to “identify and cultivate satisfied customers.” Your core mission is to resolve your customer’s issues and to provide what they desire. The creation of exceptional products or services is simply a means to achieving this goal.
